Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Manali

Early flight to Kullu. Arrival in Kullu, meet and transfer to hotel. End of the day at leisure in hotel.

Day 02: Manali - Sarchu

On this day we will move from Manali to Sarchu enrooting Rohtang Pass and Keylong. Overnight stay at Deluxe Camps at Sarchu

Day 03 : Sarchu - Leh

On day 03 start drive to Leh after breakfast. We will reach Leh by the evening. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 04: Leh - Shey - Tiksey - Hemis - Stok - Leh

Visit: Shey, Theksey & Hemis. Today we start our excursion by visiting the monastery of Thikse. Thikse is one of the most imposing monastery in Ladakh. The monastery has 12 stories, 10 temples, a nunnery and 60 lamas in residence. It contains numerous stupas, statues, tankhas, wall painting and a large pillar engraved with the teaching of Buddha. We can also see here a collection of Tibetan scripts. After the visit of Thikse we visit the village of Shey on the eastern bank of the Indus. Shey was the royal residence and was located at an important vantage point in the Indus valley. It has a large victory stupa which is topped with gold. After the visit of the monastery of Shey we visit the monastery of Hemis. The rich monastery of Hemis is the biggest in Ladakh and is perched on top of a pleasant green hill surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery

Day 05: Leh - Khardungla - Leh 85 Kms

After breakfast day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 Mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. In the evening return back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Leh - Spituk - Phyang - Alchi

After breakfast tour for Spituk, Phyang and Alchi. Overnight at Hotel. SPITUK: Gompa is on the hill top near Indus, around 18 Kms from Leh. Which was founded in 11th century by Od-De the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub-od, the Gompa named Spituk (exemplary) when Rinchen Zangpo translator came to that place and said that exemplary religious community would rise. Initially it belonged to the Kadampa school then during the life time of king Gragspa Bumide made it Gayluk Pa order. the Spituk festival held every year from 17th to 19th days of the 11th month Phyang is 17 Kms west of Leh on the blue hill, belongs to Dingung order, founded in 15th century by Chosje Danma Kunja Dragpa in the time of king Jamjang Namgyal. Phyang monastery is also called Tashi Chosang, which mark the first established of the Dingung to teachings in Ladakh. The festival of Gang-Sgnon Tsedub are held every year from 17th to 19th of the 1st month. ALCHI: Alchi Choskor is the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground, around 69 Kms west of Leh. Largest and most famous of all of the temples and built by the great translator Ringchem Zangpo. The temple was founded in 11th century which accounts for the Indian and particularly Kashmiri influences.

Day 07: Alchi - Likir - Lamayuru - Kargil

Drive from Leh to Likir by Jeep. Visit the monastery. Continue drivert towards to Lamayuru which is oldest monastery. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Kargil - Nun - Rangdom (135 Kms)

After Kargil drive towards Zanskar valley on the way see Panikar and Parkachan villages view of Nun & Kun peaks are seen.. Arrive Rangdom in the evening . Overnight in Tents.

Day 09: Rangdom - Sani - Padam (150 Kms)

After short drive, we stop at Rangdom Gompa and visit the Gompa Continue drive to Padam which is the Capital of Zanskar valley on the way cross Pensila pass 4401 Mtrs and some ancient Buddhist villages. Visit Sani monastery on the way. After crossing Tungri bridge visit Sunni Gompa finally we reach Padam in the late afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Padam - Sani - Padam

After breakfast full day tour of Sani monastery. In the evening return back to the Padam. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11: Padam - Rangdum

After breakfast drive back to the Rangdum. Overnight at tent.

Day 12: Rangdom - Sanko - Kargil

After breakfast drive to Kargilk and on the way visit Sanko village. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Kargil - Leh 235 Kms

Leave in the morning full day drive to Leh today we have to ascend three passes this day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldest Monastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar river following into Indus. Finally we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: Leh - Airport drop

Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards flight.
