Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Manali
Check in at hotel in the morning time. Take rest for few hours. Afternoon half day city tour visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Club House, Vashisht Village and Tibetan Monastery. Blessed with some of the most spectacular and beautiful landscapes anywhere, Manali is considered to be a travellers paradise -lofty snow peaks, deep gorges, lush green valleys, fast flowing rivers, enchanting mountain lakes, flower bedecked meadows, beautiful temples and monasteries .Evening time free to explore local market .Overnight stay at Manali.
Day 02: Manali - Jispa (138 kms/ 7 hrs)
After breakfast start up your journey to Jispa . It will be almost seven hours drive from Manali to Jispa, enroute Keylong ,crossing over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and a few villages of Lahaul valley like Sissu, Gondla and confluence of Chandra & Bhaga rivers at Tandi. This route would provide you views of mountains, several streams, waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After a short stop at Keylong continue drive to Jispa. On arrivalCHECK IN at hotel. In the evening walk around the beautiful Jispa valley.
Day 03: Jispa - Sarchu ( 130km/ 5hrs )
In the morning time continue your drive to Sarchu crossing over Baralacha La 4800 m Baralacha La has a small lake - Surajtal which is considered to be source of river Bhaga. On arrival check in the deluxe camp accommodation. Evening walk around the beautiful & huge campsite of Sarchu. Overnight in camps at Sarchu .This route would provide you views of mountains, several streams, waterfalls and hanging glaciers.
Day 04:Sarchu - Leh (255 kms/9hrs)
From Sarchu plains we will ride up Gatta loops to cross over Naki La (4800 m), Lachang La (5065 m) reaching Pang. From here we cross more Plains to reach Tsokhar. After crossing the pass we go downhill for a while and once again begin the climb for another pass The Lachu Lung La (5000m). Then a short halt at Pang for tea and some refreshments, then we proceed to Tsokar. Tsokar Lake is approximately 95km northwest of the Tsomoriri Lake at the height of 4490m. It is also called "White Lake" because of the salt deposited around it- this is because there is no outlet form the lake which makes the water brackish. In ancient times, the salt from the lake used to be taken out and sold all over Ladakh and Kashmir by the local nomads known as the Changpas. Tsokar Lake is also the breeding grounds for a variety of birds among them the bar- heading goose, the great crested grebe, the Brahmin duck and the brown headed gull. On arrival check in at camp. Evening walk around the lake with opportunity to see Black Necked Crane. Overnight at camp.
Day 05: Leh - Khardung La - Nubra (150 Kms /6hrs)
After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest Motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. First visit SUMUR, another pretty village on the other side of the river'; SAMSTANLING GOMPA here was founded by Lama Tsultims Nima and Monastic community was introduced as Rezong Gonpa. Diskit, Panamik Hunder and Turtuk in Shyok valley are the main centers of tourism in this region .Overnight at deluxe camp / hotel in Nubra.
Day 06:Nubra Valley - Leh
In the morning after your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a double hump camel safari . Later we drive to Leh over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Leh - Pangong Lake (160 Kms)
In the early morning with packed lunch ,start up your drive to Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it is the third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong, which is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance.
Day 08: Pangong Lake - Leh
Enjoy sunrise & beauty of the giant Pangong Tso. Later after breakfast drive back to Leh reaching back by evening. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09: Leh to Kargil (235 kms/9hrs)
After breakfast leave for Kargil. On the way you can visit the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland" hills. Later drive towards Kargil enroute viewing the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th -8th century AD). Overnight in hotel at Kargil. .Overnight stay at Hotel at Kargil.
Day 10: Kargil - Sonmarg - Srinagar (205 kms / 8 hrs )
Early departure for Srinagar driving through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach Sonamarg from where it's a smooth 2-hour drive to Srinagar through the beautiful Kashmir countryside. Overnight at Srinagar.
Day 11: Depart Srinagar
